Troubleshooting 14 14.2.2 Symptom Paper is not fed from the specified paper source. The field for user authentication (account track) setting is grayed out, disabling setting. Cause Paper will not be fed from the specified paper source if that paper source is loaded with paper of a different size or orientation. In the printer driver, the User Authentication (Account Track) function may be disabled. Remedy Load the paper source with paper of the appropriate size and orientation. In "Configure", specify a setting for user authentication (account track). Other Symptom Printer driver installation fails. The print job remains though the printing is completed. 14.2.3 Error message Cause It has already been installed as a Web Service-supporting printer in Windows Vista. "Network discovery" may be disabled in Windows Vista. Remedy In Windows Vista, printer driver installation is deemed as completed even if it is not completed if the installation has been performed using the Web Service print. Uninstall the printer in the Network window, and then reinstall it. To use the Web Service print in Windows Vista, enable "Network discovery" in "Network and Sharing Center" on the computer. Message Cannot connect to the network. Cause and remedy A connection to the network could not be established. Check if the network cable is correctly connected. In addition, check that the "Network Settings" parameters in Administrator mode have been correctly specified. IC-208 14-5
