Optional Equipment FAX Backup Kit The FAX Backup Kit is a 128 MB microchip card that you can use to back up important data. Call a service representative for mounting or removal of the card. You can use the FAX Backup Kit to back up the following data: • i-FAX reception data • Data stored in FAX Boxes • Job accounting data NOTE: Fax and i-FAX transmission data and fax reception data is backed up on the hard disk in the machine and on the fax board. Received fax data to be backed up i-FAX reception data • All incoming fax data is backed up. Since data is backed up automatically at the time of its reception, no special operation is required. • The backup data is erased when: Data is printed properly, or Data is forwarded properly. • If the FAX Backup Kit runs out of space during fax reception, a communication error occurs and reception stops. Print or delete some of the data in the FAX Box to increase the available space. (Refer to page 5-39.) If printing stops due to such trouble as paper running out or a paper jam, resolve the problem and restart printing. (Refer to the machine's Operation Guide.) Data stored in FAX Boxes • Since data is backed up automatically when it is stored, no special operation is required. • The backup data is erased when the data in the FAX Boxes is deleted. FAX Backup Kit
The FAX Backup Kit is a 128 MB microchip card that you can use to back
up important data. Call a service representative for mounting or removal of
the card.
You can use the FAX Backup Kit to back up the following data:
i-FAX reception data
Data stored in FAX Boxes
Job accounting data
NOTE:
Fax and i-FAX transmission data and fax reception data is
