If you want guests to have access to your home network instead of just Internet access, then select this check box. Enable Wireless Isolation. If this check box is selected, then wireless clients (computers or wireless devices) that join the network can use the Internet, but cannot access each other or access Ethernet devices on the network. Guest Wireless Network Name (SSID). Change the network name to one that you will easily recognize. Security Options. NETGEAR strongly recommends that you set up wireless security for your guest network. For information about wireless security, see Security Basics on page 30  To set up a wireless guest network: 1. Select Setup > Guest Network. 2. Select the Enable Guest Network check box. 3. You can specify whether the SSID broadcast is enabled, and whether you want to allow the guest to access your local network. You can also change the SSID. • NETGEAR strongly recommends that you change the SSID to a different name. Note that the SSID is case-sensitive. For example, GuestNetwork is not the same as Guestnetwork. • For guest networks, wireless security is disabled by default. NETGEAR strongly recommends that you implement wireless security for the guest network. 4. Select a security option for the guest network and specify the password. 5. To set up a wireless guest network:
1.
Select
Setup > Guest Network
.
2.
Select the
Enable Guest Network
check box.

You can specify whether the SSID broadcast is enabled, and whether you want to allow the
guest to access your local network. You can also change the SSID.
NETGEAR strongly recommends that you change the SSID to a different name. Note
that the SSID is case-sensitive. For example, GuestNetwork is not the same as
Guestnetwork.
