Mechanism of Color Printing In color printing, the shape and color of images are expressed in groups of minute cyan, magenta, yellow, and black dots. Therefore, image data input in the printer are dissolved into cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. Y M C K The data is developed in each cartridge, and toner is transferred onto paper repeatedly. Data Photosensitive Drum K CMY M YC K Intermediate Transfer Unit 6 The toner color changes each time the intermediate transfer unit makes one revolution. After all the four colors are transferred on the intermediate transfer unit, the paper is fed and printed. Makes four revolutions.
