■ Detailed Settings Clicking [Details...] in the [Quality] tab sheet opens the [Detailed Settings] dialog box. This dialog box enables you to specify the detailed settings for print quality. 2 Printing [Gradation] You can select gradation when you print images in halftones. Normal Performs a normal print job by processing black and white. High 1: Performs a high-quality print job by processing multi-valued colors. High 2: Performs a higher-quality print job than High 1. [Color Halftones] You can select a dither pattern when you print data in color halftones. Resolution: Prints normal letters and photo images at high quality. You can print most image data to a very high quality by selecting this item. Gradation: Produces high-quality printing for image data that contains a lot of gradations for Graphics and Computer Graphics. Color Tone: Make any color differences imperceptible when you print photos or images on multiple pages. Pattern1 to 5: Applies different dither patterns to text data, graphics data, and image data. Pattern 1: Text = Resolution; Graphics = Gradation; Image = Gradation Pattern 2: Text = Resolution; Graphics = Resolution; Image = Gradation Pattern 3: Text = Resolution; Graphics = Color Tone; Image = Color Tone Pattern 4: Text = Resolution; Graphics = Resolution; Image = Color Tone Pattern 5: Text = Resolution; Graphics = Gradation; Image = Color Tone Windows 98/Me Properties 2-19
