Photos [ Auto Exposure Bracketing] The camcorder records 3 photos using 3 different exposures (dark, normal, light in 1/2 EV steps), allowing you to choose the photo you like the best. FUNC. [ Single] FUNC. Desired option CONTINUOUS SHOOTING/ HI-SPEED CONTINUOUS SHOOTING 1 Press PHOTO halfway to activate the autofocus. 2 Press PHOTO fully and hold it pressed down. AUTO EXPOSURE BRACKETING Press PHOTO , first halfway to activate the autofocus and then fully to record the photos. NOTES • Continuous shooting speeds are approximate and vary depending on recording conditions and subjects. • When using the flash, continuous shooting speed will decrease to approx. 2.1 photos/second. Continuous shooting speed will decrease also when using slow shutter speeds (1/30 or slower). Taking Photos while Recording Movies (Simultaneous Recording) You can record photos even while the camcorder is set to mode. Moreover, you can capture the photo at the same time you are recording video. Photos recorded with simultaneous recording will have the same aspect ratio of movies (16:9). FUNC. [ Simultaneous Recording Off] Desired photo size* Desired photo quality* FUNC. * Press to move back and forth between size and quality selection. The number displayed on the right corner indicates the approximate number of photos that can be recorded with the current quality/size setting. While recording, or in record pause mode, press PHOTO to capture the photo. NOTES • Photos cannot be recorded simultaneously while the digital zoom or a digital effect is activated. • To take photos we recommend using the mode, which offers the best quality for photos. • Photos will be recorded on the media selected for recording photos ( 33). 68
