POST Messages POST message 167 168 175 176 Description An installed microprocessor is not supported by the current POST/BIOS. Action: 1. Obtain the latest POST/BIOS update diskette image. 2. Perform the POST/BIOS (flash) update procedure (see "Remote Administration" on page 52 for additional information). 3. Verify the microprocessor switch settings (see "Setting the microprocessor speed switches" on page 258). Note: Although you might have the current POST/BIOS level, you must still perform the POST/BIOS (flash) update procedure to clear this error. The Alert on LAN feature is not working correctly. Action: Set the correct state in the Configuration/Setup Utility program, as follows: 1. From the Configuration/Setup Utility menu, select I/O Devices and Ports. Then, follow the instructions on the screen. 2. Select Ethernet Setup. 3. Select Alert on LAN. 4. Set the value for Alert on LAN to Enabled. For information on using the Configuration/Setup Utility program, see "Using the Configuration/Setup Utility program" on page 39. Verify that the Ethernet cable is attached to both the client and server, and that the appropriate software is installed on both the client and server. If the problem cannot be isolated and corrected, have the system serviced. A failure occurred during testing of the system board and microprocessor. Action: Have the system serviced. The server cover has been removed. Action: You must enter the administrator password to clear this POST message. If the message recurs when the cover has not been removed, have the system serviced.
