3 Select [Clear] and press [ENT]. The device clear confirmation screen appears. 4 Press [A/B]. The selected device is cleared and the device list screen reappears. Note: ¡ The default setting for "Bluetooth Auto Connect" is [On]. If the power of the transceiver is turned On, the transceiver will be automatically connected to the Bluetooth device that was connected previously. CONNECTING TO A PC VIA Bluetooth You can connect a Bluetooth compatible USB adapter to a PC that does not support Bluetooth and then connect the transceiver and PC wirelessly. The following explains the example of connecting with a PC that has a Bluetooth compatible adapter connected. A Bluetooth compatible adapter is an adapter that connects to a PC without a Bluetooth function to enable a wireless connection between a device with a Bluetooth function such as headphones and the PC. Note: ¡ For information how to connect with a Bluetooth compatible adapter and a PC, refer to the instruction manual of the PC and adapter. Pairing between the transceiver and PC This function is for searching for the transceiver from the PC. 1 Access Menu No. 934. The pairing waiting screen appears. Note: ¡ Once pairing with a PC is complete, multiple COM ports may appear on the PC, depending on the PC with built-in Bluetooth function or Bluetooth USB adapter used. In this case, as only one COM port can be used, use the memory control program MCP-D75 and use a normal communication port. ¡ When using with a PC or USB adapter which supports Bluetooth version 2.0 or earlier, passkey is not displayed. In this case, the input screen of the PIN code on the PC side is displayed. Please enter [0000] in this case. ¡ Regardless of the transfer rate (baud rate) setting in a PC, transfer rate (baud rate) between the transceiver and PC are USB (up to 12 Mbps) or Bluetooth (up to 128 kbps). Bluetooth Device Information You can confirm the device name, device address, and device class of the transceiver. The Bluetooth device name can be changed. To Change the Device Name 1 Access Menu No. 935 and then set the setting. The Bluetooth device information screen for the transceiver appears. 2 Press [A/B]. The mode becomes the text input mode. 3 Select the characters you wish to input. For the detailed character input procedure. • A countdown begins from 60 seconds. After 60 seconds elapse, replying to the device search stops and the menu screen reappears. The countdown continues until pairing completes. 2 Perform a pairing operation from the PC. • When paring by a PC, the passkey is displayed on the PC and transceiver. When confirming the operation by a PC and pressing [A/B], the paring completed screen appears. 3 Press [A/B] to return to the frequency screen. 4 Press [ENT]. The device name is changed. 18-3
