Locking Out a Memory Channel This function allows you to skip specific memory channel by excluding it from scanning when a memory scan is performed. 1 Access Menu No. 200. The memory channel list appears. When a memory group is already linked, press [A/B] to cancel the link. 3 Press [ENT]. The Memory group selection screen appears. 2 Select the channel to lock out. 3 Press [MODE]. The memory channel edit menu appears. 4 Select the group to link and press [A/B]. 5 Set groups by repeating the procedure from step 2 to 4. 6 Press [PTT]. The frequency screen reappears. 4 Select [Lockout] and press [A/B]. 5 Select [On] and press [A/B]. Memory channel lockout is set. If a memory channel for which the memory channel lockout function is set to [On] is recalled, < > appears on the right of the channel number. Note: ¡ This function can be set individually for all of the memory channels. However, it cannot be set for program scan memory (L0/U0 to L49/U49). ¡ The memory channel lockout function cannot be turned on or off in VFO mode or CALL channel mode. Using Group Link Scan This function allows you to scan memory channel in the plural memory groups registered in the group link list. 1 Register the group link list in advance. 2 Press [MR]. 3 Press and hold [MHz]. • Scan starts at the current channel. • The 1 MHz decimal point blinks while scanning is in progress. 4 To quit group link scan, press [MHz]. Note: ¡ At least 2 Memory channels in the selected group must contain data and must not be locked out of scan. ¡ When memory groups are not registered in the group link list, memory scan is executed. ¡ If the memory recall method is set to [Current Band], the memory channel of the same frequency band as the current memory channel will be scanned. Locking Out a Memory Channel
This function allows you to skip specific memory channel by
excluding it from scanning when a memory scan is performed.

Access Menu No. 200.
The memory channel list appears.

Select the channel to lock out.

Press
[MODE]

The memory channel edit menu appears.

Select [Lockout] and press
[A/B]
.

Select [On] and press
[A/B]
.
Memory channel lockout is set.
If a memory channel for which the memory channel
lockout function is set to [On] is recalled, <
> appears on
the right of the channel number.
Note:
¡
This function can be set individually for all of the memory
channels. However, it cannot be set for program scan memory
(L0/U0 to L49/U49).
¡
The memory channel lockout function cannot be turned on or off
in VFO mode or CALL channel mode.
GROUP LINK SCAN
Group link scan is to scan memory channel in the plural
memory groups registered in the group link list.
Registering the Group Link List
Register the group link list to be used in the group link scan.
You can link the maximum 30 memory groups randomly.

Access Menu No. 203.
The group link list appears.

Select a group link number.
When a memory group is already linked, press
[A/B]
to
cancel the link.

Press
[ENT]

The Memory group selection screen appears.

Select the group to link and press
[A/B]
.

Set groups by repeating the procedure from step 2 to 4.

Press
[PTT].
The frequency screen reappears.
Using Group Link Scan
This function allows you to scan memory channel in the plural
memory groups registered in the group link list.

Register the group link list in advance.

[MHz]
.
Scan starts at the current channel.
The 1 MHz decimal point blinks while scanning is in
progress.

Note:

At least 2 Memory channels in the selected group must contain
data and must not be locked out of scan.

When memory groups are not registered in the group link list,
memory scan is executed.

If the memory recall method is set to [Current Band], the
memory channel of the same frequency band as the current
memory channel will be scanned. The other memory channel
will be skipped
