KEY LOCK The Key Lock function ensures that your transceiver settings will remain unchanged if you accidentally press a key. To turn Key Lock On or Off, press and hold [F]. • When Key Lock is activated, the < > indicator will appear on the display. VOLUME LOCK This function locks the volume so that it cannot be changed inadvertently. 1 Use the [VOL] control to set the volume level you wish to lock. 2 Access Menu No. 963. Selecting the Key Lock Type Select a Lock type. 1 Access Menu No. 960. 3 Select [On] or [Off]. • When [On] is set, the volume level at that time is locked. If the [VOL] control is turned while the volume is locked, "Locked Volume" appears. 2 Select [Key Lock] and/or [Frequency Lock]. [Key Lock]: Locks all the front panel keys. (Press and hold [F] to unlock the keys.) [Frequency Lock]: Locks the frequency or the memory channel. (The [MHz], [ENT], [MR], [BAND], Scan, [PF] (Group Up and WX) keys/functions cannot be used.) [Key Lock] and [Frequency Lock]: Locks all the front panel keys along with the ENC control. (Press and hold [F] to unlock the keys.) • The [MONI], [PTT], [ ], and [VOL] control knob cannot be locked. Setting the Locked Volume Level 1 Use the VOL control to turn down the volume while pressing [MONI]. • When a locked volume is set to a lower level, the lock is canceled temporarily. 2 Set the volume level you wish to lock and then release [MONI]. • The new volume level is locked and [Completed VOL. KEY LOCK
The Key Lock function ensures that your transceiver settings
