Note: The authentication scheme is separate from the data encryption. You can select an authentication scheme that requires a shared key but still leaves the data transmissions unencrypted. If you require strong security, use both the Shared Key and WEP encryption settings. 5. From the Data Encryption pull-down menu, select 64 bit WEP, 128 bit WEP, or 152 bit WEP. 6. Passphrase. To use a passphrase to generate the WEP keys, enter a word or group of characters, and click Generate Keys. The four key fields will be automatically populated with key values.
