WG103 ProSafe 802.11g Wireless Access Point Reference Manual Enabling Rogue AP Detection The wireless access point can detect unknown (rogue) APs and wireless stations and can prevent them from connecting to the wireless access point. To enable rogue AP detection: 1. Log in to the wireless access point at its default LAN address of http://192.168.0.229 with its default user name of admin and default password of password, or using whatever password and LAN address you have chosen for the wireless access point. 2. Select Configuration > Security > Advanced > Rogue AP. The Rogue AP screen displays: Figure 4-16 3. Select the Turn Rogue AP Detection On check box to enable rogue AP detection. 4. Click Apply to activate rogue AP detection. The wireless access point continuously scans the wireless network and collects information about all APs detected on its channel. Enabling Rogue AP Detection
The wireless access point can detect unknown (rogue) APs and wireless stations and can prevent
them from connecting to the wireless access point.
To enable rogue AP detection:
1.
Log in to the wireless access point at its default LAN address of
