CHAPTER 7 Registration 7.1 Overview Use the Configuration > Licensing > Registration screens to register your UAG and manage its service subscriptions. 7.1.1 What You Can Do in this Chapter • Use the Registration screen (see Section 7.2 on page 98) to register your UAG with myZyXEL.com and activate a service, such as content filtering. • Use the Service screen (see Section 7.3 on page 100) to display the status of your service registrations and upgrade licenses. 7.1.2 What you Need to Know This section introduces the topics covered in this chapter. myZyXEL.com myZyXEL.com is ZyXEL's online services center where you can register your UAG and manage subscription services available for the UAG. To update signature files or use a subscription service, you have to register the UAG and activate the corresponding service at myZyXEL.com (through the UAG). Note: You need to create a myZyXEL.com account before you can register your device and activate the services at myZyXEL.com. You can directly create a myZyXEL.com account, register your UAG and activate a service using the Registration screen. Alternatively, go to http://www.myZyXEL.com with the UAG's serial number and LAN MAC address to register it. Refer to the web site's on-line help for details. Note: To activate a service on a UAG, you need to access myZyXEL.com via that UAG. Subscription Services Available on the UAG You can have the UAG use the content filtering subscription service. You can also purchase and enter a license key to have the UAG use more SSL VPN tunnels. See the respective User's Guide chapters for more information about these features. UAG715 User's Guide 97
