3550-US-5.0 POLLING Setting Up Polled Waiting with Super Quick-Scan Before pressing Start, press Super Q.Scan so you can store your polled waiting document in the memory. If you use Super Q.Scan to place the Polled Waiting documents into the memory, they will not be erased automatically after they are polled. To erase them you must use the Cancel Job function. (See page 6-11.) Sequential Polling This function is the reverse of Broadcasting, in which your machine sends a document to several destinations. In a sequential polling operation, your machine will request documents from several fax units in a single operation. After all the polling operations are finished, a Sequential Polling Report will be printed automatically. KEYS TO PRESS 1. Make sure there are no documents in the feeder. 2. Press Function. 3. Press1. 4. Press2. 5. Press Z (left arrow) or X (right arrow) to select Polling ON. 6. Press Set. 7. Press Stop. 8. Specify the destination fax machines that you wish to poll by entering the One-Touch key(s) and/ or Speed-Dial numbers, one after the other, or pressing only a Group number. Example: Group key. 9. Press Start. Yourmachinewillpoll each number or group member in turn for a document.
