Before Using the Machine Timer Settings The timer settings enables you to set the sleep mode, the auto clear time, and the daylight saving time. Setting the Sleep Mode When the machine remains idle for a certain period of time, it automatically enters the Sleep mode. This section describes how to set the period of time until the machine enters the Sleep mode. The default settings are and . 1 Press [Additional Functions]. 2 Press [ ] or [ ] to select , then press [OK]. ADD. FUNCTIONS 6.TIMER SETTINGS 3 Press [ ] or [ ] to select , then press [OK]. TIMER SETTINGS 4.AUTO SLEEP TIME 4 Confirm that is displayed, then press [OK]. AUTO SLEEP TIME ON 5 Press [ ] or [ ] to select the desired interval, then press [OK]. AUTO SLEEP TIME 5MIN. You can set the interval from 3 to 30 minutes (in one minute increments). You can also enter values using - [numeric keys]. 6 Press [Stop] to return to the standby mode. - To resume the normal mode from the Sleep mode, press [Power] on the operation panel. - To enter the Sleep mode manually, press [Power] on the operation panel. - The machine will not enter the Sleep mode when: • the machine is in operation • a system error occurs • a paper jam occurs in the machine • the handset of the external telephone is off the hook* - The machine will leave the Sleep mode when: • you press [Power] on the operation panel • a computer performs a scan through the machine • the handset of the external telephone is off the hook* • a print job is sent from a computer, and the print is started * Only for the imageRUNNER 1025iF 1-14
