Configuring Voice Configuring Voice Settings 4 SIP Settings Use the Voice > SIP page to configure SIP parameters and values. NOTE For a deeper understanding of these fields, refer to Request for Comments (RFC) 3261. To open this page: Click Voice on the menu bar, and then click SIP in the navigation tree. Enter the settings as described below. After making changes, click Submit to save your settings, or click Cancel to abandon any unsaved entries. SIP Parameters Field Max Forward Max Redirection Max Auth SIP User Agent Name SIP Server Name SIP Reg User Agent Name SIP Accept Language Description Max Forward value, which can range from 1 to 255. Default setting: 70. Number of times an invite can be redirected to avoid an infinite loop. Default setting: 5. Maximum number of times (from 0 to 255) a request may be challenged. Default setting: 2. User-Agent header used in outbound requests. If empty, the header is not included. Macro expansion of $A to $D corresponding to GPP_A to GPP_D allowed. Default setting: $VERSION. Server header used in responses to inbound responses. Default setting: $VERSION. User-Agent name to be used in a REGISTER request. If this value is not specified, the SIP User Agent Name parameter is also used for the REGISTER request. Default setting: blank. Accept-Language header used. SIP Settings
Use the
Voice > SIP
page to configure SIP parameters and values.

Voice
on the menu bar, and then click
SIP

navigation tree.
Enter the settings as described below. After making changes, click
Submit

SIP Parameters

Max Forward
Max Forward value, which can range from 1 to
255. Default setting: 70.
Max Redirection
Number of times an invite can be redirected to
avoid an infinite loop.
Default setting: 5.

request may be challenged.
Default setting: 2.
SIP User Agent Name
User-Agent header used in outbound requests. If
empty, the header is not included. Macro
