3 Tests and Diagnostics 3.23 SETUP (d) Hard Disk Mode Use this item to select the hard disk mode. Enhanced IDE (Normal) Select this mode when using an operating system that supports Enhanced IDE. Use this setting normally. (Default) Standard IDE Select this mode when using an operating system that does not support the Enhanced IDE. When this mode is selected, up to 528MB is logically available and the rest of the capacity is not usable. NOTE: If you change this setting, you will have to reformat the partition of the hard disk for the appropriate setting. 15. Legacy Emulation. (a) USB keyboard/Mouse Legacy Emulation. Use this option to enable or disable USB keyboard/mouse Legacy Emulation. Enabled Disabled USB Legacy Support can be used. (Default) USB Legacy Support cannot be used. (b) USB-FDD Legacy Emulation. Use this option to enable or disable USB-FDD Legacy Emulation. Enabled Disabled USB Legacy Support can be used. (Default) USB Legacy Support cannot be used. 16. PCI LAN This option sets the enable/disable of the built-in LAN functions. Enabled Disabled Enable Built-in LAN functions.
