4 Replacement Procedures 4.1 General Screw Tightening Torque When you fasten screws, be sure to follow the torque list below. CAUTION: Overtightening can damage components and screws; undertightening can result in electrical shorts or other damage if screws or components come loose. NOTE: Toshiba recommends that you use an electric screw driver for quick and easy operations. q M2 q M2.5 q FDD q HDD q LCD (internal use) 0.17 N·m (1.7 kgf·cm) 0.30 N·m (3.0 kgf·cm) 0.22 N m (2.2 kgf cm) 0.3 N m (3.1 kgf cm) or less 0.176 N m ± 0.22 N m NOTE: The computer contains several flat-head screws.
