CHAPTER 2 B. Control Panel 1. Outline The control panel contains 7 LEDs, one LCD (liquid-crystal display), 9 switches, and one buzzer on the control panel. The control panel is connected to the video controller PCB, and has the following functions. a. Displays status and error messages on the LCD. b. Displays the printer operating status on the LEDs. c. Selects the printing environment, operating mode, utility, and paper source with switches. d. Sounds the buzzer if a switch input is ineffective or an error occurs.
