CHAPTER 4 M-25 Faulty Deck Motor (paper deck) 1. Poor contact in the deck motor drive signal line connector Action: Reconnect deck motor connector J118 and connector J204 on the paper deck driver PCB. 2. Faulty deck motor Action: Measure the voltage between connectors J204-4 (DCMOT-ON) and J204-2 (GND) on the paper deck driver PCB. Pull out the tray, when pushed back in, if the measured value changes from 5V to 0V, replace the deck motor. 3. Defective paper deck driver PCB Action: Replace the paper deck driver PCB. 4 - 50

<Possible causes>
1.
Poor contact in the deck motor drive signal line connector
Action:
Reconnect deck motor connector J118 and connector J204 on the paper deck driver
PCB.
2.
Faulty deck motor
Action:
Measure the voltage between connectors J204-4 (DCMOT-ON) and J204-2 (GND)
on the paper deck driver PCB.
Pull out the tray, when pushed back in, if the
measured value changes from 5V to 0V, replace the deck motor.
3.
Defective paper deck driver PCB
Action:
Replace the paper deck driver PCB.
