CHAPTER 4 2. The static charge eliminator contact of the high-voltage power supply is not making a good connection with the static charge eliminator contact. Action: If the contacts are dirty, clean them. If the problem continues after cleaning, or parts are deformed or damaged, replace them. 3. The transfer charging roller is deformed or has deteriorated. Action: Replace the roller. 4. The high-voltage power supply PCB is defective. Action: Replace the high-voltage power supply PCB. Action:

If they cannot be cleaned,
replace them.

The transfer guide or fixing entry guide is dirty.
Action:
Clean dirty parts.

The photosensitive drum is damaged peripherally.
Action:
Replace the cartridge.
2.
The fixing entry guide is dirty.
Action:
Clean the fixing entry guide.
3.
The fixing upper roller is scratched.
Action:
Remove the cause of the damage and replace the roller.
I-8 Smudged horizontal bands
<Possible causes>
1.
The EP-W cartridge is defective.
Action:
Replace the cartridge.
2.
The fixing upper roller is dirty, deformed, or worn.
Action:
Replace the fixing upper roller.
I-9 Dirty
<Possible causes>
1.
The print paper is dirty.
Action:
Replace with new paper.
Advise the customer how to store print paper.
