Searching for a Number in the Memory

1. Press Directory (&) on the operator panel. OR Press Scroll () to select Fax and press Select (P). Press Scroll () to select Directory and press Select (P). 2. Press Scroll () to select Edit and press Select (P). 3. Press Scroll () to select Edit Group and press Select (P). 4. Enter the group number you want to edit or select the group number by pressing Scroll () and press Select (P). 5. Edit the name and press Select (P). 6. To add a speed dial number, press Select (P) to access Add Person. To delete the speed dial number, press Scroll () to display Delete Person and press Select (P). 7. Enter a speed dial number to be added or deleted. NOTE: When you delete the last speed dial in a group, the group itself is deleted. 8. Press Select (P). 9. If you want to edit another group, repeat from step 3. OR Press Cancel (V) to return to Standby mode. Sending a Fax Using Group Dialing (Multi-Address Transmission) You can use group dialing for Broadcasting or Delayed transmissions. 1. Follow the procedure of the desired operation (Broadcasting transmission; see Sending Broadcasting Faxes, Delayed transmission; see Sending a Delayed Fax). 2. When the display asks you to enter the remote fax number, press the corresponding Group Dialing entry number. NOTE: You can use only one group number for one operation. 3. Then continue the procedure to complete the desired operation. 4. Your printer automatically scans the document loaded in the ADF or on the scanner glass into the memory. The printer dials each of the numbers included in the group and begins transmission. Searching for a Number in the Memory There are two ways to search for a number in the memory. You can either scan from A to Z sequentially, or you can search using the first letter of the name associated with the number. Searching Sequentially Through the Memory 1. Load the document(s) face up, with the top edge of the document first into the ADF. OR Place a single document face down on the scanner glass. Sending a Fax Using Group Dialing (Multi-Address Transmission)
