ESC = Define User-defined Characters Format: ASCII code: ESC Decimal : 27 Hexadecimal : 1B = (n1) (n2) 61 (n1) (n2) 3D (n1) (n2) ... (nk) ... (nk) ... (nk) Comments: If C is the total number of characters to be defined, B = (C x 13) + 2 n1 = B MOD 256 1-2 = INT(B / 256) n3 = 20 in all cases n4 = the code of the first character to be defined n5 = 0 if the top eight pins are to be used; n5 = 128 for the bottom eight n6 = 0 in all cases n7 through nk are the data numbers that define the characters, with 11 data numbers for each character.
