The printable characters for the Standard and Alternate sets are shown in Figure 5-1. Figure 5-1. IBM character sets The different control codes used in the IBM Proprinter mode are listed and explained in Appendix J. If you are not a programmer, all you need to know is to select "IBM Proprinter" or "IBM Graphics Printer" (if that is one of the options) when you install an applications program. Note The features demonstrated in this chapter are available in both the Epson and the IBM Proprinter modes, except as noted. In Chapter 4 you saw the enlargements of the three FX-286 widths.
