Chapter 7 Consumables 6 Attach the Brake Roller to the scanner. 1 Put the Brake Roller by adjusting the flat section of the rotating shaft to the guide slot of the Brake Roller Holder. 2 Close the Brake Roller Holder. 7 Close the ADF. Press down on the center of the ADF to return it to its original position until the ADF clicks into place. CAUTION Be careful, the ADF may close and pinch your fingers. ʂ • Do not close the ADF while the Brake Roller Cover is kept open. • Confirm that the Brake Roller is attached firmly. If not, paper feed errors such as multifieeds will occur. 8 Reset the brake roller counter. Start up the Software Operation Panel, and then reset the counter. Attach the Brake Roller to the scanner.

Put the Brake Roller by adjusting the flat section of the rotating
shaft to the guide slot of the Brake Roller Holder.

Close the Brake Roller Holder.

Close the ADF.
Press down on the center of the ADF to return it to its original position
until the ADF clicks into place.

Reset the brake roller counter.
Start up the Software Operation Panel, and then reset the counter.
