1.5.3 Dual GTN 7XX Installations Foreword Dual GTN 7XX units when connected in the aircraft may be set up to Getting Started communicate and share information by "Crossfilling" or synchronizing information between the two units. Audio & Xpdr Ctrl The following Crossfill information is always synchronized between both Com/Nav GTN 7XX units: • User Waypoints FPL • Flight Plan Catalog Direct-To • Alerts (traffic popup acknowledgement, missed approach waypoint popup acknowledgement, altitude leg popup acknowledgement) Proc • External sensors (transponder status and commands, synchro heading) Charts • System setup: - Favorite NAV frequencies Wpt Info - Date/Time convention Map - Nearest airport criteria - Units (Nav angle, Distance/Speed, etc.) Traffic - Favorite COM frequencies Terrain - Ownship icon - CDI Scale setting Weather - ILS CDI Capture setting Nearest This data is crossfilled only if crossfill is turned on by the pilot: Music • Active navigation (flight plan) Utilities System Messages NOTE: In dual GTN installations with crossfill on, the OBS course will only be updated real time on the GTN that is receiving the new OBS course.
