Specific information is provided for installation and configuration topics. References to our online troubleshooting help are provided for operational topics. This section contains the following: • installation troubleshooting on page 94 • paper jams on page 97 status lights The HP Fax front panel display presents menus, prompts, status messages, and error messages. You can use this information to troubleshoot the occasional problems you might encounter while using your HP Fax. The HP Fax alerts you to problems by blinking the Attention light (shaped like !). When you see this, check the display for a message about the problem. • You can dismiss messages that do not require you to do anything by pressing Cancel. • Some error messages might require you to do something (for example, clear a paper jam) before they disappear and let you continue using the HP Fax. 93
