Embedded Jetdirect submenu Item TCP/IP Options Values Explanation ENABLE ON OFF HOST NAME CONFIG METHOD BOOTP DHCP Enable the TCP/IP protocol. Disable the TCP/IP protocol. An alphanumeric string, up to 32 characters, used to identify the device. This name is listed on the Jetdirect configuration page. The default host name is NPIxxxxxx, where xxxxxx is the last six digits of the LAN hardware (MAC) address. Use BootP (Bootstrap Protocol) for automatic configuration from a BootP server. Use DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) for automatic configuration from a DHCP server. MANUAL SETTINGS AUTO IP Use automatic link-local IP addressing.
