Transition Networks SISPM1040-3xxx-L Web User Guide Chapter 5 - PoE Management PoE (Power over Ethernet) is used to transmit electrical power to remote devices over standard Ethernet cable. It can be used for powering IP cameras, IP phones, wireless LAN access points, media converters, and other equipment, where it would be difficult or expensive to connect the equipment to main power supply. 5-1 PoE Configuration This page lets you view and configure the current PoE port settings. Web Interface To configure Power over Ethernet in the web UI: 1. Click PoE Management and PoE Configuration. 2. Specify the 'Reserved Power determined by' and the 'Power Management Mode' parameters. 3. Specify the PoE Power Supply Configuration parameters and the PoE Port Configuration parameters. 4.
