Nighthawk Mesh WiFi 6 System with MR70 router and MS70 satellite Change the channel for a radio The available WiFi channels and frequencies depend on the region or country and the radio. For the 2.4 GHz radio, the default is Auto, which means that the radio automatically selects the most suitable channel. When you select a particular channel, the channel selection becomes static, which means that the uses only that channel until you change the channel setting again. For the 5 GHz radio, the default is channel 44. Note: You do not need to change the WiFi channel unless you experience interference (which is indicated by lost connections). If you do notice interference, reduce it by selecting different channels for adjacent WiFi routers or access points. We recommend a channel spacing of four channels between WiFi routers or access points (for example, for 2.4 GHz radios, use channels 1 and 5, or 6 and 10). To change the channel for a radio: 1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your mesh network. 2. Enter http://www.routerlogin.net. A login window opens. 3. Enter the router admin user name and password. The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive. The BASIC Home page displays. 4. Select Wireless. The Wireless Settings page displays. 5. From the 2.4 GHz channel or 5 GHz channel menu, select a channel. For the 2.4 GHz radio, the default is Auto, which means that the radio automatically selects the most suitable channel. When you select a particular channel, the channel selection becomes static. For the 5 GHz radio, the default is channel 44. 6. Click the Apply button. Your settings are saved. The radio or radios restart and WiFi clients might need to reconnect.
