IT IS ADVISABLE TO IMMEDIATELY BACK UP YOUR DATA AND R E P L A C E Y O U R H A R D D R I V E B Y C A L L I N G Y O U R S U P P O R T D E S K O R D E L L - If no replacement drive is immediately available and the drive is not the only bootable drive, enter system setup and change the appropriate drive setting to None (see "System Setup" on page 75). T H E D E V I C E I S N O T R E A D Y - The floppy drive cannot read the disk. Insert a floppy disk into the drive and try again. When to Use the Dell Diagnostics If you experience a problem with your computer, perform the checks in "Lockups and Software Problems" on page 96 and run the Dell Diagnostics before you contact Dell for technical assistance. It is recommended that you print these procedures before you begin. NOTICE: The Dell Diagnostics works only on Dell™ computers. NOTE: The Drivers and Utilities media is optional and may not ship with your computer. Enter system setup (see "System Setup" on page 75), review your computer's configuration information, and ensure that the device you want to test displays in system setup and is active.
