Chapter 1 To load an original on the scanner glass Use these steps to load an original on the scanner glass. 1. Lift the scanner lid. 2. Load your original print-side down. TIP: For more help on loading an original, refer to the engraved guides along the edge of the glass. 3. Close the lid. To load an original on the scanner glass
Use these steps to load an original on the scanner glass.
1.
Lift the scanner lid.
2.
Load your original print-side down.
TIP:
For more help on loading an original, refer to the engraved guides along
the edge of the glass.
3.
Close the lid.
Load an original in the automatic document feeder (ADF)
You can copy, scan, or fax a one-sided, single- or multiple-page, A4- or Letter-size
document by placing it in the automatic document feeder tray.
CAUTION:
Do not load photos in the ADF; this might cause damage to your
photos.
NOTE:
Two-sided Legal-size documents cannot be scanned, copied, or faxed
using the ADF.
