Uninstall the Macintosh printing system Follow these instructions to uninstall the Macintosh printing system. 1. Browse to the folder containing the PPDs-Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/ Resources:.lproj-where is the appropriate language. 2. Select the product .gz file and drag it to Trash. 3. Empty the Trash. 4. To remove the HP Device Configuration application and supporting files, go to Applications/HP EWS Device Configuration and run the HP Uninstaller application. Supported utilities for Macintosh HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) Mac OS X supports the HP Embedded Web Server (HP EWS). Use the HP EWS to perform the following tasks: ● View the product status and change product settings. ● View and change network settings for the product. ● Print information pages for the product. ● View the product event log. The HP EWS is accessed by using a Web browser such as Safari. The HP USB EWS Gateway software allows the Web browser access to the product if the product is connected using a USB cable. The HP EWS can also by opened by choosing the Utility button in the Printer Setup Utility or through the HP Device Configuration utility.
