WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment in a single power supply configuration: s Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server. s Install the power supply before connecting the power cord to the power supply. To remove a hot-plug power supply in a single power supply configuration: 1. If there is a padlock and locking bar attached to the power supplies, unlock the padlock and lift the bar away from the power supplies. 2. Perform the preparation procedures. See "Preparation Procedures" earlier in this chapter. 3. Press the lever in the center of the power supply handle 1, then pull out the handle 2. Removal and Replacement Procedures
NOTE
:
You do not need to remove power from the unit for a hot-plug power supply replacement
in a redundant power supply configuration.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment in a
single power supply configuration:
Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server.
Install the power supply before connecting the power cord to the power
supply.
To remove a hot-plug power supply in a single power supply configuration:
1.
If there is a padlock and locking bar attached to the power supplies, unlock the padlock
and lift the bar away from the power supplies.
2.
Perform the preparation procedures. See “Preparation Procedures” earlier in this chapter.
3.
Press the lever in the center of the power supply handle
