Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Table 34 Troubleshooting Controller Fan Module Problems Symptom Possible Cause Controller Fan Module Procedure Fan Fault LED is on One or both of the fans in the controller fan module has failed. The power supply fan module is unplugged or has failed. Replace the controller fan module. 1. Make sure the power supply fan module is plugged in correctly. Reseat the module if necessary. 2. Check the LEDs on the power supply fan module. If the Power LED is OFF or the Fault LED is on, replace the power supply fan module. No LEDs ON If the Power LED is ON and the Fault LED is off, the problem may be caused by the controller fan module. The temperature sensor in the controller fan module has detected an over temperature condition. Even if the fans in the controller module are operating, an obstructed air flow path or a high ambient temperature can cause the temperature within the enclosure to rise. Determine what is causing the temperature problem and correct it. Controller fan module is unplugged or has failed. 1. Make sure the controller fan module is plugged in correctly. Reseat the module if necessary. 2. If the Power LED remains OFF, replace the controller power module. Controller Enclosure Troubleshooting 257
