Removal and Replacement . Figure 116 Door Lock 4. Switch off power to the disk enclosures. 5. Disconnect the Fibre Channel cables. Use a label to identify which MIA (upper "A" or lower "B") the cable is connected to. This will ensure that each cable is reconnected to the correct MIA connector on the controller enclosure. 6. Disconnect the SCSI cables from the controller enclosure. Use a label to identify which SCSI connector the cable is connected to. This will ensure that each cable is reconnected to the correct SCSI connector on the controller enclosure. Terminators may remain connected to the enclosure, but this increases the possibility of jarring one during handling causing damage to the terminator or enclosure connector. 7. Remove the battery backup module to reduce the weight of the enclosure during handling. See "Battery Backup Unit (BBU) Removal/Replacement" on page 325. 8. Remove the enclosure rail clamps. Remove the two screws (F in Figure 117) from each of the clamps (E) and remove the clamps. 9. Remove the enclosure front cover (Figure 105 on page 322). Pull the bottom out about an inch then slide it down an inch and outward to free it from the enclosure. 10. Disconnect the front of the controller enclosure from the rack column by removing the two screws (A in Figure 117) from each mounting bracket (B) at the front of the enclosure.
