Using CLI Device Commands These commands manage device discovery. They are available after a device command with no parameters or as global commands by preceding them by device. Table 8-7 lists the Device Commands. More details about each command are provided after the Table. Table 8-7 Device Commands Command identify import info list manage scan statistics unused Parameters [start | stop] [device_list] id [device_list] [usage] [interface] [type] device [device_list] Levels all administrator all all administrator all all identify [start | stop] [device_list] Command Identify one or more disks by blinking their LED. If no device_list is supplied, this command will apply to every disk. The default action is to start the LED blinking and return to the prompt. The LED will stop blinking after about 30 seconds or when a device identify stop or pool identify stop command is given for that device. To identify all of the disks in a storage pool use the pool identify command. import id Command Import a new disk. The id is used to confirm that the expected disk is being imported. Command completion will list all of the IDs of any new disks. 8-16

Device Commands
These commands manage device discovery. They are available
after a device command with no parameters or as global
commands by preceding them by device.

identify [start | stop] [
device_list
] Command
Identify one or more disks by blinking their LED. If no
device_list
is supplied, this command will apply to every disk.
The default action is to start the LED blinking and return to the
prompt. The LED will stop blinking after about 30 seconds or when
a
device identify
stop
or
pool identify
stop
command
is given for that device.
To identify all of the disks in a storage pool use the
pool identify
command.

id
Command
Import a new disk. The
