Using CLI UPS Permit Commands These commands manipulate the list of hosts which may monitor the UPS if it is controlled by this unit. They are valid even if at the moment the UPS is not controlled from this unit. These commands are available after the ups permit command. They can also be run as global commands by preceding them by ups permit or by preceding them with permit from the ups context. Table 8-46 lists all UPS Permit commands. More details about each command appear after the Table. Table 8-46 UPS Permit Commands Command add list remove set Parameters host_list host_list host_list Levels administrator all administrator administrator add host_list Add the hosts on the host_list list to the list of hosts which are permitted to access the UPS. An error is generated if this would create a list longer than the maximum permitted length of 8. list List the hosts which may access the UPS. The output will be in this format: Permit access to any local UPS by: 192.196.7.1 192.196.7.10 192.196.10.77 remove host_list Remove the hosts in host_list from those which may access the UPS. set host_list Replace the current list of hosts which may access the UPS with this new list. 8-68
