Troubleshooting To hot-swap a disk drive: 1 Remove the front bezel of the enclosure, as shown. 2 Release the extraction lever of the failed disk drive and gently pull it open. 3 If the enclosure is powered on, allow the disk drive to spin down fully. (This takes approximately one minute.) 4 Slowly pull the disk drive from the drive bay. 5 Remove the drive carrier from the failed disk drive, and attach it to a new disk drive. 6 Install the new disk drive by opening its lever and sliding it into the enclosure until the lever engages. Close the lever to push the drive fully into its slot and snap it into place. 9-3
