Getting Started Quickly Completing the Network Configurations When you power on the subsystem, the Initialization Wizard opens. Use the monitor and keyboard to configure the basic network parameters of the Adaptec iSA1500 with the CLI, which is preinstalled on the subsystem. (For more information about the CLI, see Chapter 8, Using CLI.) Alternatively, use a terminal emulation program through the serial connection, with these settings: ■ Null Modem Cable ■ Baud Rate: 115,200 ■ Data Bits: 8 ■ Parity: None ■ Stop Bits: 1 ■ Flow Control: Off Before You Begin Prepare these values before you begin: ■ Host name ■ Domain name ■ Administrator password ■ Operator password ■ Management interface IP address ! Caution: While dynamically allocated (DHCP) IP addresses are supported, Adaptec recommends against using them. Any IP address change during operation may result in data loss. ■ Management interface IP Net Mask ■ Management interface Broadcast address ■ Default gateway (optional) ■ DNS server information (optional) 3-7
