Installing the Initiator After you have completed the configurations, install your initiator if you have not already done so. Installing the Software The next installation task is to install Microsoft iSCSI Service, Microsoft DiskPart, and Adaptec Storage Manager. Note: To use Adaptec Storage Manager to configure and manage your IPSAN, you must have a Management Station running Windows with Adaptec Storage Manager installed. To configure and manage storage on servers using other operating systems, you must use the CLI. (See Chapter 8, Using CLI.) For the most up-to-date list of supported operating systems, refer to the Adaptec Web site at www.adaptec.com.
