Managing Your IPSAN Removing a Disk Drive From a Storage Pool You can remove a disk drive from a non-RAID storage pool, as long as there are no iSCSI targets on that disk drive. Note: You can't remove a disk drive from a RAID pool. If you attempt to remove a disk drive from a pool and are prevented from doing so by Adaptec Storage Manager, that disk drive is part of a RAID pool. To remove a disk drive from a non-RAID storage pool: 1 In the Tree Menu, click on the iSCSI Subsystem you want, then click Storage Pools. 2 In the Application Window, click the pool from which you want to remove a disk drive. 3 Click Remove Disk. The Remove Pool Disk window opens. 4 Select the disk drive you want to remove from the pool, then click OK. The disk drive is removed from the storage pool. 6-18
