Getting Started Quickly Installing the Hardware This section explains how to complete the physical installation of the Adaptec iSA1500 hardware. Installing the Chassis in a Rack (Optional) Note: If you are not installing the chassis in a rack, skip to Connecting the Cables and Powering On on page 3-5. Required tools: ■ Phillips-head screw driver ■ Wrench (if your rack does not have threaded holes) To install the chassis in a rack: 1 Secure the rails to the rack. Use the rails with either threaded or unthreaded holes, whichever is compatible with your rack. 2 Slide the chassis onto the rails as shown in the Figure below, push it all the way back in the rack, then secure it using screws compatible with your rack. RESET 3-3
