Managing Your IPSAN Importing Storage Pools You can import a storage pool that has been exported by another iSCSI subsystem. (See Exporting a Storage Pool on page 6-19 for more information.) To import a storage pool: 1 In the Tree Menu, click on the iSCSI Subsystem you want, then click Storage Pools. 2 In the Application Window, click on the foreign pool that you want to import. The Pool Information window opens. 3 Click Import Pool. 4 Click OK to confirm that you want to import the storage pool. The pool is imported and changes to Online status. Identifying a Storage Pool You can view the physical location of all the disk drives associated with the storage pool by physically flashing the disk drives' LEDs. To flash the disk drives' LEDs: 1 In the Tree Menu, click on the iSCSI Subsystem you want, then click Storage Pools. 2 In the Application Window, click on the pool that you want to identify. 3 Click Identify Pool. The LEDs on all disk drives associated with the storage pool flash. 4 Click OK to stop flashing the LEDs and return to the storage pool information screen. 6-20

Importing Storage Pools
You can import a storage pool that has been exported by another
iSCSI subsystem. (See
Exporting a Storage Pool
on page 6-19
for
more information.)
To import a storage pool:

In the Tree Menu, click on the iSCSI Subsystem you want, then
click
Storage Pools
.

In the Application Window, click on the foreign pool that you
want to import.
The Pool Information window opens.

Click
Import Pool
.

Click
OK
to confirm that you want to import the storage pool.
The pool is imported and changes to
Online
status.
Identifying a Storage Pool
You can view the physical location of all the disk drives associated
with the storage pool by physically flashing the disk drives’ LEDs.
To flash the disk drives’ LEDs:

In the Tree Menu, click on the iSCSI Subsystem you want, then
click
Storage Pools
.

In the Application Window, click on the pool that you want to
identify.

Click
Identify Pool
.
The LEDs on all disk drives associated with the storage pool flash.

Click
OK
to stop flashing the LEDs and return to the storage
pool information screen.
