Introduction to iSCSI and IPSANs
Basic IPSAN with Four Servers and Two iSCSI Ports
This basic IPSAN configuration includes four servers. Two servers
are connected to iSCSI interface Eth2 on subnet_1; the other two
servers are connected to iSCSI interface Eth1 on subnet_3. Each
server has dual iSCSI ports. This configuration is managed through
Management port Eth0 on subnet_2.
Note:
The two GbE switches shown in this example could be
replaced with one larger GbE switch with enough ports.
VLAN can also be used to isolate the two iSCSI networks,
instead of a single switch.
