Selecting a Cellular Phone Cable The modem connectors on cellular phones vary. To connect the modem to a cellular phone, you must use a cellular phone cable approved for use with that make and model. CAUTION: Using the wrong cable could cause permanent damage to the modem. To purchase the cellular phone connection cable for the cellular phone you want to use, refer to "Worldwide Telephone Numbers" in Appendix A for the name of your nearest authorized Compaq dealer, reseller, or service provider. To view an online list (including part numbers) of the cellular phone cables to use with various makes and models of cellular phones: 1. Click StartÆHelpÆdouble-click Modem. 2. Double-click Using the Modem with a Cellular Phone Ædouble-click Connecting the Modem to a Cellular Phone. 3.
