Battery Conservation Settings Tab From the Battery Conservation Settings dialog box you can select among three general levels of battery conservation and enable or disable low-battery warning beeps. You can also select a Custom conservation level and assign your own settings for screen brightness and processor speed and for Suspend, system idle, hard disk idle, and screen save timeouts. On a computer running Windows NT, the Battery Conservation Settings tab also includes a CD-ROM Auto Insert Notification checkbox. Setting a Conservation Level-In the Conservation Level pane of the Battery Conservation Settings tab you can select among four levels. s The High, Medium, and None (Drain) levels are general conservation levels. When you click on the radio button beside one of these levels, the settings the system implements for that level display in the adjoining Conservation Settings pane. These system-initiated settings are not further selectable at the High, Medium, or None (Drain) conservation levels. s When you click on the radio button beside the Custom conservation level, the current settings display in the adjoining Conservation Settings pane and are selectable. To change a setting, click the arrow beside the scroll box, then click your selection from the drop-down list. The Off setting, where applicable, appears before the number 1 on the drop-down lists. The battery conservation level settings function only when the computer is running on battery power. When you change the battery conservation level, the icon shown above the list of battery conservation levels also changes. Battery Conservation Settings Tab
From the Battery Conservation Settings dialog box you can
