The information generated by View System Information can be displayed, printed, and saved. If you are preparing for a Technical Support call, print or save the information generated by View System Information. You should also run Computer Checkup, described in this chapter. To run View System Information (INSPECT): 1. Turn on the external devices that you want to inspect. Connect the printer if you plan to print error messages. 2. Turn on or restart the computer and press F10 as soon as the cursor appears upper right on the screen. 3. Select View System Information (INSPECT). 4. Select the item you want to view from the list that appears. The list includes such items as: System Memory ROM Audio Keyboard Operating system System ports System files System storage Windows files Graphics 5. Use View System Information (INSPECT) to

Obtain information about system configuration
NOTE:
To obtain similar configuration information from within
Windows 95, click Start

The information generated by View System Information can be
displayed, printed, and saved.
If you are preparing for a Technical Support call, print or save the
information generated by View System Information. You should
also run Computer Checkup, described in this chapter.
To run View System Information (INSPECT):
1. Turn on the external devices that you want to inspect. Connect
the printer if you plan to print error messages.
2. Turn on or restart the computer and press
F10
as soon as the
cursor appears upper right on the screen.
3. Select View System Information (INSPECT).
4. Select the item you want to view from the list that appears.
The list includes such items as:
System
Memory
ROM
Audio
Keyboard
Operating system
System ports
System files
System storage
Windows files
Graphics
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to cycle through the
items, to return to the list and choose another item, or to print
the information.
