This apparatus has been approved for the following facilities: s Simple modem s Facsimile s Telephone answering machine functions s Automatic call initiation s Detection of initial proceed indication s Detection of secondary proceed indication s Operation in the absence of proceed indication s Automatic dialing s Tone detection of busy tone, dial tone, or number unobtainable tone s Auto clear from the call origination end s Loop disconnect (pulse) dialing s Multifrequency (tone) dialing 10. Any other usage will invalidate the approval of the apparatus, if as a result it then ceases to conform to the standards against which approval was granted. 11. This equipment may not necessarily provide for the effective hand-over of a call to or from a telephone connected to the same line. Auto Dialing with the Modem 1. When entering telephone numbers, ensure that the number that appears on the screen is correct before beginning to dial. 2. Some parameters required for compliance with Telecom's PTC Specifications are dependent on the telecommunications apparatus provided with Compaq computers.
