How to Use Hotkeys Continued Function Accessed Hotkey Procedure Battery gauge Fn+F8 Press the hotkey to display a popup window showing the charge status of battery packs in the computer and, if the computer is docked, in an optional ArmadaStation or Armada MiniStation. For more information, refer to "Monitoring Battery Pack Activity" in Chapter 5. Brightness control Fn+F10 Press the hotkey to display brightness settings in a popup window. To increase brightness, press the up or right cursor key. To decrease brightness, press the left or down cursor key. BIOS (Basic Input Fn+Esc Output System) build dates Press the hotkey, then the down arrow key to display BIOS dates for the system, video, keyboard, and for the expansion base when the computer is docked. (The BIOS contains detailed instructions that activate peripheral devices.) Initiate Hibernation Fn+suspend button Press the hotkey to initiate Hibernation. For Hibernation information, refer to Chapters 4 and 5. Image expansion Fn+T Press the hotkey to toggle the image on the display between centered and expanded. NOTE: Image centering/expanding is automatically enabled with the Desktop Area setting is smaller than the display Resolution setting. For more information about display settings, refer to "Setting Up an External Monitor or Overhead Projector" in Chapter 7.
